The purpose of the Troop 194 alumni association is to build fellowship among all Scouts. We aspire to perpetuate the growth of Scouting through the power of Scout leadership and mentoring. We hope to rekindle the fire that engages all Scout alumni in a way that models the Scout Oath and Law, demonstrates leadership and inspires others. The Scout Troop 194 Alumni Association accomplishes their mission and vision through Scout recognition, networking, service and support of our local communities. All Scouts and alumni are encouraged to get involved, volunteer and stay in touch.

Attending: Four Mitchell brothers, Dan, Phil, Mike, Tom, John Knorp, Tom Brand, John Kilar, Greg Forrest. Jerod Barrow. Excused Mike Beauregard, Jack Jordan
Health and Welfare: Leon Franks will be 99 in May and is going strong. Jon Ewing had hip replacement surgery in Florida. (This writer will get addresses for cards)
Active Troop Report: The troop had gained four new members to raise the troop membership to 10. (It now costs just under $500.00 for new scout, $300.00 for uniforms and $170.00 for registration fees) On May 16th 2026 the troop will have a Eagle ceremony for the troops newest Eagle Scout #178 Dekari Briand. The ceremony will take place at the Jesu School gym on Six Mile Rd. Detroit MI
Summer Camp Report: Three scouts from the troop (including our newest eagle scout) will be attending the Mackinaw Service camp. A second week long camp will be attended: the Cole Canoe Camp, which is just south of Rose City, if enough scouts are willing to attend.
Mix-Fix: The mix-fix will be held this Memorial Weekend on Mackinaw Island. Dave Monahan and Dan West are the coordinators for this event Tom Brand will again cook.
Barracks Renovations: New windows replacements is scheduled for al windows in the barracks (money permitting)
Troop Projects: Popcorn sale will be again this October to help raise money for the troop.
Road Trips / Reunion: A committee has been formed to look into a reunion for the 105 anniversary of the troop in 2027. (see above for the committee members along with Jon Ewing) Possible venues:: Frankenmuth Mi, Corktown, University of Detroit, Mackinaw Island. The time line for the reunion would be May to September of 2027. Next meeting fore this committee is May 13th 2026, location TBD. Everyone is welcome to attend and join.
Treasurer Report: Since Mike and Jack were excused no report was submitted
However we believe that the account is solid as of last report with only $180.00 in expenses.
Chairmans Report: Still looking for location for Memorability, Troop needs to be moved as building are being replaced with a senior citizen complex.
