Memorabilia

Ensuring Troop 194s legacy

Troop Memorabilia:  There are various alumni members who hold artifacts and memorabilia items of varying forms in their personal homes, basements, garages, etc. and that it has been suggested that it would really be better served if all these valuable historical items were properly organized and housed or displayed in one central area.

Tom and Bill Albert have been in contact with a Mr. Joshua Hunt, Historian, and collector of scouting memorabilia, who has offered to assist in getting some of our special items into a national scouting museum.  He is especially interested in any Order of the Arrow artifacts, in which many of our alumni were members, particularly Henry Vassel, who had lots of OA stuff.

After considerable discussion on this agenda item, it was agreed to form a special sub-committee—a Troop 194 Memorabilia Committee.  Any Alumni Assoc. members who are interested are encouraged to serve.

With that in mind, all Alumni are hereby invited to contact John Knorp to indicate their willingness to assist in this massive endeavor.  Feel free to ask questions for further information and to offer assistance or suggestions.  Email J. Knorp at:  stjonred@aol.com or phone him at:  (313) 289-8535.
